The Observing Game

Presented in a form of a book, 'The Observing Game' has based on the act of people-watching, observing and documentation of everyday happenings, as well as day-to-day interaction. Through compiling black and white photographs with texts and paintings, the work aimed to capture details and unnoticeable features in our daily lives with a sense of eerie atmosphere.

In relation to Sociology and Anthropology, the work explores possibilities of our surroundings with a playful set of instructions. Through the use of images and language, 'The Observing Game' demonstrates a sense of creepiness and obsession while surveilling others' actions. The repetitive act of surveillance poses the question of whether of not the particular action may be regarded as art, a game, or crime.
